Yes but it's in hand, Honda/Garmin know.I suppose the bug might be fixed by the 2024.10 version?
Just a waiting game.

I just updated to the Senior version of Garmin. Not only does it direct you to where you are going but when you get there it reminds you of WHY you were going there.;) :D

Can I just confirm that the 16gb usb key has to be just 16gb and not higher or lower. Has anyone a specific usb they’d recommend please.
I’m picking my new xstar up on the 23rd, can I assume the update would already be done?
Thanks in advance.
The map in the car was dated 21 so a bit old.
... Confirmed its 2021 installed. Aren't the dealers lazy! ...Same here (Jazz Advance MY24) - I also had the 2021 maps preinstalled.
..No joy for me this time. Same SD card, same procedure. Car stops at 1% and says its failed, cancel / retry.
Last two updates were fine.
Have you got a picture of the headunit MyMaps screen
If you scroll through this post you will see what I'm showing, which shows the latest 2023.10 in amongst earlier versions 2021 and 2022

Curiously, I get this message every Tuesday morning as I drive out of Lidl's car park. Is the satnav passing judgement on my shopping preferences?
Yes, I think it needs to be done within hours of loading the stick in the car or at least the same dayI reloaded the USB stick, didn't need to delete the previous download and took it to the PC within hours, the download on the PC took just one hour, and only 10mins to install on the car. Can't see much difference on the map though, at least it will stop the notification.
That postcode freeze is exactly what happened last year, and the year before
They had to issue a second map update about a month after the first one
Nothing you can do but wait
There are posts here from a year and two years ago highlighting the same oroblem

Hi Nicksey,
I have the exact same problem here. Updated last week to the latest maps. update was successful. Can't search anymore. Did the update again, still can't search.
restore navigation settings in the app afterwards didn't help also.
Did you get any response from Garmin?
There's only one update a year, usually Jan or Feb, so you can't have the latest. Look in the settings of the Garmin for the installed map and see if it is 23 or not.So why did I only start getting the map update message in November?

I took my Jazz in yesterday because the 2 new 2024 updates I had done both failed when it came to inputting the postcode. The technician said the updates didn't look right, the information contained in the indexes look wrong compared to previous map updates. He has downloaded the update on his computer/stick, and I take the car back on Monday morning to see if his attempt will solve the issue. Incidentally, he told me they had a brand new CRV that was being picked up by a customer, who tried to input his postcode only to find the same problem!
So why did I only start getting the map update message in November?
I've just been informed the search bug has been fixedThank you! I've just completed the upgrade to the 2024.11 maps. The search function is working as well 8)

My question for people who managed to update is: did you receive a new version (like 2024.11.1 or 2024.12)?Hi Dan, my situation was a bit different to yours: As I had a heads-up from this thread that the original 2024.11 update was broken, I waited until the all-clear message from Kremmen.
Would I need to update my December 23 Jazz's Sat Nag? (yes, I am going to give it a go but not unless its up to date)
I contacted Garmin regarding the update not working. This is their reply:
"I do apologise for the inconvenience however the Honda mapping has been temporarily disabled due to a bug during the update process.
Please be patient while we try to resolve this issue for you."

I had the same response , affecting the Mk.3 Jazz too.
They are taking note of the email addresses of all those that have contacted them about the problem and will let us know as soon as it's fixed.
Mine was in for its second annual service two days ago, and they updated the mapping to the latest version, as they did last year.
My nearest dealership last year, wanted to charge £40 for them to do the update, but I discovered by going to my second nearest, the update was free.
If you don’t ask, etc, etc!
I just loaded the 2024.11 map set without any issues, took about 10 minutes for the car to copy from the USB.

I thought it about time they should have sorted this so contacted them again this week. Their reply:
"I do apologise that you have not been updated,. however the Honda mapping is still temporarily disabled due to a bug during the update process.

Researching for a replacement car for our second car which has just been written off after a low speed argument with a metal gate post, I checked the latest Jazz website and noted that the advertised SatNav comes with live traffic details. Does anyone know if this can be retro fitted to the Mk4? I asked customer services but they did said they doubted it without any suggestion that they go away and find out.The latest models come with mapping by "HERE" and its significantly different to the previous garmin . I think I read on another thread one of the reasons for changing to "HERE" was it was compatible with the new requirement for speed alerts. I doubt it would be possible to convert the Garmin to "HERE" . There might be unofficial hacks but that would be risky.
Make sure the USB stick is 16Gb and formatted to FAT or FAT32 using 'default allocation units'
When you format on Windows, one of the dropdowns is default allocation units amongst other optionsI have an iMac rather than a Windows machine, but on third attempt the update has now been completed. Yahooo!

Shown at 2:00 in the Windows video
I've always used Google Maps which is far better and certainly more up to date
Process and procedure for the HERE sat nav are similar to Garmin, but use HERE specific update software. Thanks for that Steve, a lot to take in at my age ;) but I'll give it a go, cheers
