Title: Crosstar wheel - change colour
Post by: aphybrid on March 15, 2022, 08:29:01 AM
Visually the only thing I did not like initially on the Crosstar was the wheel - especially the polished silver bits.

So did a very rough repaint job on the as delivered photo with the silver on one wheel body colour - shining grey and the other black.

I think conversion to shining black all over is going to happen.

Any thoughts?

The black looks better imho.

I have the alloy/plastic trims on my EX which are ok if you give them a quick brush when cleaning, but awful if you want to clean them properly as there are so many small spaces to brush.

Looks nice in black. But I'm not sure I would want to spray the expensive diamond cut finish to all black ,which are normally cheaper - (if available for the car.  )

But certainly a good option if ever  diamond cut wheels need to be refurbished due to kerbing or 'white worm' corrosion.
In which case  body colour would also look good as an alternative.
