Title: Alarm interior sensor
Post by: DWJazz2021 on October 11, 2021, 02:36:31 PM
Hi, I looked at older threads regarding the alarm (EX), but they didn’t seem to conclude the following issue.

When locking the car, is there a volumetric/ interior alarm?   I tested this today and it didn’t go off with movement in the car.

I see discussion on perhaps having to double lock the car (which I don’t think I did on that occasion), or is the feature absent?

Thank you

I don't think it has one - usually there is a button/setting to turn it off if you leave something in the car, but I haven't seen one in the manual.

I'm sure it's perimeter only.

Seriously?

So if a window is broken, the alarm won’t sound?

You need the 'interior security ultrasonic module' LOL.

Some Honda cars do get fitted with factory alarms IIRC, there are a couple of ultrasonic sensors mounted by the front courtesy light.... bear in mind those ultrasonic gizmos can be set off by a fly in the car... Nothing drains a car battery faster than a car alarm, OK a aircon relay stuck closed may be quicker but that is rare.

The vibration should probably set off the alarm.
There definitely is no interior ultrasonic sensor inside my EX.
