Virtually all the lights on the Jazz are LED, which is great, except the reversing lights and rear indicators for some reason.
Has anyone fitted road legal replacements for these?

I would leave the direction indicators alone TBH, because of the lower current draw of LED you will either have to fit ballast resistors in parallel with the bulbs or buy the ones with built in resistor, which never draw enough current anyway as they would get too hot, you can get special electronic flasher relays where the flash rate is independent of load - but don't know about one for a jazz. The traditional flasher relay works on the current drawn by 2 x 21 watt bulbs ( about 3.5 amps ) to ensure correct flash rate, this means if a bulb blows and reduces current the indicators will flash a lot faster than normal, and so will the repeater on dash, this is your warning that all is not well - but I have to say in all the years I have been driving I can hardly remember replacing a direction indicator bulb, they seem to last for ever... I did buy a couple of Osram reversing LED bulbs for our cars will try to post a link.

Thanks, yes in my civic and accord I only ever changed headlight bulbs - the standard ones seem to have a very long life.
-
I'd like to change the interior white LED to blue LED, like I've always done, but as there are no instructions in the manual I'll leave them alone.
-
The manual isn’t that clear on bulbs, even the dealer I spoke to said there could be two different types of rear bulbs fitted depending on what the factory decides to fit!
There is a Honda accessory option for a LED cargo light in the boot - I had it fitted to mine.
It gives a good light in the dark.
-
Why do people want to change - if your dont like it - dont buy. Also changing ANYTHING on a vehicle - WITHOUT declaring it can / does invalidate insurance.

I got a pair of these for Civic a while ago, but when I tried to buy them for Jazz MK2 ( W16W is a standard reversing light bulb ) they were no longer available - shame as they were the best I had found up to then.
May be able to find them elsewhere - but I have not been able to track them down.

When I got my Crosstar I put one of these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/382894921689 in the boot - much brighter than Honda's candle. At that time it cost £3.99 for the pack of ten - somewhat cheaper than Honda's price! The other nine should be in the drawer awaiting rehoming. How about £1.25 each including postage for one?
I also fitted a pair of these reversing light bulbs https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/114467956864 . I didn't change the indicator bulbs for the reasons noted above.

As well as John's posted link, try this ( from USA though ) looks like a seriously bright bulb....

Many thanks - it’s strange that every other external light on the car is LED except the indicators and reverse lights?
Maybe the 22 model will be fully LED, it’s an easy upgrade they could add.
-
I'll find out in just over a week but how do you tell ?
Just waiting for a call with available Reg No's so I can choose one and sort out the insurance. It'll start LT 71
-
It’s easy to tell as the rear lenses for the indicators and reversing lights are clear on mine, I can actually see the bulbs inside.

I doubt changing a luggage area bulb would invalidate an insurance policy.
You're probably mixing an LED light with a cut n' shut

One of the accessory options I have fitted is the official Honda LED boot light.
It would be easy for them to offer rear LED accessory options for the others too.
They do say in the listing for the accessory that it provides better/more useful light than the standard one which is why it’s funny that they don’t fit the LED one as standard.

I didn't think.it was worth.starting a new thread -.but people don't seem to notice the rear indicators - I've checked and they're working but I'm wondering if if they're just not that bright or orange or something??.
