I picked up our new Crosstar on Monday and am enjoying the new driving experience.
One thing that puzzles me, however, is that the vehicle was supplied without fixings for the passenger floor mat, as can be seen in the attached photo. It clearly looks unfinished to me, but the dealer insists that the fixings come with the mats themselves.
Has this also been your experience, or am I being told porkies by the dealer?

These genuine mats from Cox motors - one of the reviews says 'all clips and fittings included' .. so dealer is telling the truth - review also says 'half the price of our local main dealer'......

Many thanks for your swift reply Culzean!
It's a shame the car looks incomplete, with Honda saving a few pennies by not supplying the passenger side fixings as standard, which they have done on the driver's side.

I have the fixings on my Crosstar

Thanks Chicksee. Did you get the Crosstar delivered without mats and then source the mats yourself?

My Jazz EX had the driver’s side mat fixings only and I purchased the Honda rubber mats later.
The front rubber mat set comes with the passenger side clips and you need to cut away a couple of squares of carpet at the points where there are existing slits in the carpet, then install the clips.

Got my new Crosstar 2 days ago with dealer supplied carpet mats. Very happy with them. Photo is of passenger side.

I got the Honda mats from Cox for my 2018 SE. They are very good quality. The passenger side comes with the clips which need the carpet cutting to fit them, as you are describing.
I used a Stanley knife with a new blade, the carpet cuts very easily, take care.
As well as using the paper template provided, I put masking tape on the carpet and placed the mat in situ to check the exact optimum position for the clip slots, marking through the holes in the mat and comparing that to the template positions. Take your time if fitting them.

Hi Ian, they came with the car although I did say as part of the deal that mats should be included.

So it seems hit and miss whether the dealer fits the passenger side carpet mat fixings.
Not normally an issue as it's the drivers side that's important to stop the mat sliding up the pedals but if it looks wrong/unsightly then they need fitting.
Reminds me of when I got my 2009 Civic where the dealer had done as little as possible pre collection including mats not fixed either side.

As I'm Italian, my mats are opposite than yours in UK, anyway, my Jazz EX came with mats, and mats fixing on both driver and passenger side.
When I've purchased the rubber mats from Honda, I've found two more fixings in the box as other stated, so I guess they were there in case the passenger one were missing, because also the rubber mats has fixings on both driver and passenger side.
