2016 Honda Jazz with just over 10k on the clock and suddenly I can't see the odometer display. Speedo is working fine. In 40 years of driving I have never come across this. Anyone had this issue with their Jazz?

The right-hand display has a lot of different modes, you toggle through these using the switches at bottom right of the steering wheel. Can’t remember if one of the modes hides the odometer, but if there is one is it possible you’ve accidentally nudged one of the switches?

Or the knob is between positions. Give it a twiddle. It might be a dirty contact. Or the LCD has failed.

Well I've tried every possible option on the right hand display with no luck. Although one of the options does display the cars total mileage. I might pop into a honda dealership and see if they can help.

Your original comment:
... suddenly I can't see the odometer display.
... suggested to me that it was the mileage display that had disappeared. Your latest comment:

Seems to say that you’ve now found that again, but you obviously still think there’s something wrong. Could you be a little clearer about what exactly you’re looking for?

The main dash display normally displays the cars total mileage. What I found was an option to display it on the small display to the right hand side. I shouldn't need to do that, the odometer should be displayed on the main dash at all times.
-
So it is only the main dash odometer that has failed. It could be a faulty LCD.

On my car (2015 Mk3) there is no odometer on the main central display (the one with the speedo). It only ever appears on the smaller right-hand display (depending on how you’ve set that up).
Edit: just checked with the online manual in case I’ve been missing something for the last 6 years:
https://www.honda.co.uk/content/dam/local/uk/cars/owners/manuals/2016%20Jazz%20Owners%20Manual.pdf
Instrument panel picture on page 11 definitely shows odometer only on right-hand multi-info display. Searching the manual for “odometer” also only finds references to that display.

As ever I'm so grateful for the advice. I think Jocko might be right and its a faulty LCD. I know I'm not imagining it being displayed in the main dash. I'll see what it costs to fix, if it's too expensive I'll just leave it.
-
I never remember seeing the total mileage in the speedometer dial, just in the multi information display depending on the chosen setting.
-
I am only going by the OP as my MK1 only has the one on the speedometer.

Good luck! Do let us know how you get on, although personally I think you’re looking for something that doesn’t exist.

I've owned 2 mk 3 Jazz EX navi's
a 2016 model wrote off by a driver who fell asleep at the wheel,( our car was parked up at the time).
And our 2017 present model .
Also a loan Jazz from insurance company.
And I'm 99.9% certain the odometer display is only displayed in the right hand info screen.
Display is as follows, - press small pin forTrip A press the small trip pin again to display Trip B- press again to display odometer total mileage.
Hold pin down to reset A or B mileage
Rotation of the pin turns the dash lights and honda connect screen brightness-level up or down.
You can also set the A and B trip mileage to reset itself automatically when you fill up. This is in the menu screen mode.
This can be found in the right hand display screen menu.
But I've not seen the odometer displayed in the main speedometer screen on any mk3 jazz.
Hope this helps.

I have to admit I was wrong and apologise for wasting everyone's time. I would have testified in a court of law that I was right. Thanks again for the advice.
