Title: lines on the infotainment system during day time
Post by: Manishi on March 17, 2021, 09:31:12 PM
HI!

I just bought a Jazz and noticed that during the day it has these weird lines on the infotainment system. I thought it was the wallpaper but at night it was gone. It does not affect the functionality but is very distracting. Anyone knows how to get rid of it? Also as a side question, how do yo install new apps to this unit?

think its because its a touch screen and they are the pressure sensors

Looks like the heater elements in a Ford heated screen!

Maybe you could find another Jazz to compare yours with? You'll know for sure then.  :D

Is that a polarising screen in front of the unit? What you are seeing is the touch screen sensor circuitry. As the light hits it, they are visible; however, at night, the illumination source is from the rear; hence you cannot see them.

I think this is normal.  I’ve just looked at my screen with the display switched off and I can see the pattern - it becomes very clear under bright light.  However, it is not noticeable behind one of the illuminated display screens.

I can see them in bright sunlight, though I never spotted it until I read this thread .......  🙄
