Title: Can I get hold of a 16" steel rim for a Jazz spare?
Post by: MartinJG on January 18, 2021, 01:09:05 PM
I have a pesky puncture in the rear tyre which is losing about 10-15 PSI per day and I doubt it will be a rim leak at that rate. If it cannot be fixed, I will be forced to replace the tyre. I don't like replacing a single tyre and certainly not on a part worn set which means fitting a pair. This leaves a barely worn Bridgestone with plenty of mileage :(. My thinking is to use it as a spare but that will require a 16" rim (curse of curses). Is it possible get hold of a steel wheel that is suitable for a Jazz?

I had considered a matching alloy for OH's car, there's space for it in the boot. There is probably a steel option out there, lots of wheels fit the Jazz hubs.

Hopefully it can be repaired, but to be honest, up to say 20% worn, I would just fit one new tyre.

Yes, that is my thinking and certainly with a puncture repair cost of @£20-30, it makes no sense to go down that route for the sake of a replacement tyre. Thanks.

Here is a good site for finding compatible wheels

Jazz is 4 x 100mm PCD,  45mm offset ( ET ) and 56.1mm centre boss.

https://www.wheelfitment.eu/PCD/4x100/56.1.html

Search by PCD or vehicle ( options at top of page )

Not where I'm from. Last puncture repair was £10.

Sounds a bit more reasonable, last time I heard they were about that price. To be honest, I can't remember if if I've ever paid for a repair.

Go to Kwik Fit; they don't charge for a repair. No, they tell you you need a new tyre (plus a balljoint - plus an alignment check).
