Title: Door mirror loose
Post by: bosa on September 24, 2019, 10:29:16 PM
Hi everyone,

The nearside door mirror on my Jazz wobbles a bit and sticks when moving it down electrically.  This is just the mirror unit within the housing.

I am not sure how the mirror fits together and don’t want to break anything but does anyone know how to get the mirror out so I can check whether it is just a clip that has come undone and just needs fixing back in place?

Many thanks.

You should be able to figure it out from this online manual>

Thanks.

Had a look at this and it describes replacing the whole mirror unit but not just the glass element which is where the problem is.

I have seen a picture of a replacement glass which suggests there are hooks at the bottom and clips at the top so may have a look at where the mirror is loose - top or bottom.

Fixed.

The mirror is held on by 2 push fit clips on the bottom rear side and two hooks on the top, so if the clips are released by pulling on the bottom edge the mirror hinges up and can be lifted off.  There are connections for the heating element.

The bottom clips in my case had come undone but not broken.  After a quick check I remounted the mirror on the hooks and pushed the clips home.  Quite simple in the end.

Many thanks for the help and suggestions.
