Title: space saver wheel size
Post by: guest7677 on May 10, 2018, 06:43:43 PM
Just ordered and received a 16" spacesaver wheel for my 1.3EX (which has 16" wheels). The spacesaver is considerably smaller in diameter, yet clearly labeled 16". Is that correct?

Yes it is. Spacesaver tyres are for emergency use only and are not recommended for use above 50mph and fifty miles.

I knew they were smaller in width but never realized that they were smaller in diameter.  That does seem strange.

Presumably won't be a low profile equivalent tyre on it though will it, so that will make up the difference in diameter.

The correct size for a 2017 Jazz temporary spare wheel is 15inch with a T135/80D15 tyre.

I recently transferred my space saver spare wheel kit from my 2016 SE (15" wheels) to my 2018 1.5 sport (16" wheels) which have a similar diameter due to different tyre profiles. The spare wheel kit is the same for all Mk 3 models.
