Cassette to CD head unit
« on: June 15, 2009, 09:32:54 PM »
My wife and I have just bought a 52 plate SE and would like to upgrade the cassette player to a CD player does anyone know where to get a direct replacement without going to Honda or is a unit from Honda not too expensive.

I agree with JazzyB, try and source one from ebay or a breakers that specialises in Hondas, or someone who is breaking a Jazz.  Also Honda may only suggest you can only fit a CD autochanger into the glove box.

The CD player fascia also differs depending on whether the car is fitted with manual aircon or climate control.

For a CD player from a 2005+ model Jazz to fit an earlier Jazz, you will also need an aerial lead adapter too.

I tried 24/7 parts and they were all about £150 plus VAT + shipping, but I sourced a newer head unit from a 55 car much cheaper. The facia looks the same for the heater/aircon controld so just the arial adaptor to sort.

Thanks for the info.
