Immobiliser and alarm
« on: September 16, 2007, 11:45:33 AM »
I am just about to buy a Jazz (05 model) and am using comparison sites for insurance. Can anyone tell me what type of immobiliser the Jazz has and also whether it has an alarm?

The immobiliser is a factory-fitted key transponder device as you will find in almost all other cars. That’s all I know I’m afraid.

Alarms were not standard on the Jazz although the dealer can fit one for you.

Thanks for the info about the alarm. On the online form they give a choice of immobilisers and I need to click one.

There is Honda Cat 1, Honda Cat 1 T2, Honda HIS 4 and 5 plus some others which might be alarms or immobilisers. They don’t make it easy for you do they?
