We’ve lost one of our keys for the Jazz and we’re going to have to bite the bullet and get a replacement. Can you recommend anybody please? Hopefully near SW London but happy to travel.
Thanks

I've seen many posts about replacement remote keyfobs and their programming issues.
Did you get a keyring with the white plastic keycode and barcode on it ?
I think you're looking at a dealer to get a 100% working remote fob.
..... and they are very expensive

Investigate Timpsons and the AA.

Thanks, I don’t have the white plastic keycode and barcode I just have the remote key fob.
Will investigate Timpsons.

Google key people in your area. There are mobile specialists that trade use. Worth asking a couple of local garages who they use. Most have a friendly key man.

Let us know how you get on with a third party.
I've read about the key working in the lock and often opening the door remotely but getting the key fob to be recognised by the onboard transponder to allow starting was the tricky bit.

+1 vote for Timpsons they have specialist shops for watch/ car keys around the UK.
Good luck

Conclusion- I had the replacement key cut yesterday by Honda. I rang my local Honda dealer and was quoted £232 all in . I then rang another Honda dealer who quoted £162 all in. That was less than independence locksmiths were quoting. The replacement is identical to the original. Other car makers charge outrageous prices Mercedes for example, charge £390; good old Honda.

I'd be interested to know if third party shops can fully program a key to work all the systems like remote lock/unlock and start the car.

I believe earlier keys eg Mk1 and 2 could be cloned from another already functional key, but later ones can and the need to be written to the car with Honda diagnostic software that needs to connect to the Honda server.

Last week one of my two keyless fobs went into the washing machine, coloured t-shirt cycle, 40°C + centrifuge 1000rpm, 1h 45min.
It's still working.

The AA do new keys too.

Is that the key, or the washing machine?

I must check the washing machine.
