Honda Jazz Mk4 2020 - / Re: Mk4 2021 Jazz Brake failure

Nina Nina, I have been with  HH  for 15 years with 3 cars bought and serviced there and they have been very good on both counts. Always very polite and efficient from my experience. Might be worth discussing a 5 year service and warranty package although I have only ever had a 3 year warranty but that did not stop me negotiating full costs on this safety failure with Honda on a 3 plus years Honda. Perhaps being a long term customer helped with the brake simulator claim. However this fault should of course be a recall anyway as many of us have already said

Don't use Polarised lens! The sreen looks like it has been distorted when you look into it!

https://www.youngeroptics.com.au/did-you-know/why-do-some-screens-look-weird-through-polarized-sunglasses/#:~:text=This%20phenomenon%20occurs%20because%20the,or%20dark%20screen%20or%20display.

Rubbish. Been using polarised clip-ons for 30 years or more. I think that link is referring to very old toughened windscreens, you certainly don’t get that effect with modern laminated glass. And the comments about device screens refers to lcd displays, not modern led screens (as the final sentence acknowledges).
Just because someone’s written something on the internet doesn’t mean it’s true!

Honda Jazz Mk4 2020 - / Re: Spacesaver spare wheel
« Last post by aphybrid on Today at 07:15:37 AM »
Published this before under other item.

Learned through split tyre and having to use the (dangerous) 'emergency' skinny spare that a nothing beats a full size spare to get back and running quickly & safely.

So I carry a full size spare plus trolley jack in below boot floor, attached photoes for info.

Esswntial journeys such as going to airport cannot wait for AA etc.

Not noticed mine either, and I'm tooling around with rear seats down as I'm in house DIY mode

Check the vent isn't blocked and get it looked at. An overheating HV battery is potentially dangerous. Look at those e-scooter and e-bike charging fires

I have a pair of clip-on flip-up polaroids which I put on (provided I remember) at the start of journeys on sunny days. The flip-up feature is very useful either in mixed sun/cloud or going along heavily shaded roads where potholes might be hiding in the dark.

With fingers (also toes and eyes) crossed I pressed the unlock button on the key.
Flashing, mirrors unfolding and everything seems ok.
Foot on the brake, finger on power button... and I see 9 (nine!!?) bars on the left.... HV battery almost full?
Lithium batteries have a very low self discharge rate. New ones are shipped part charged and can sit on shelves for years without dying. In addition, the HV battery in the Honda is disconnected when the vehicle is powered down so there's no risk of any parasitic power drain discharging the HV battery. It's the 12V battery that gets drained.
