A discussion in our section of the forum got me wondering. We were discussing the snazzy economy indication lights on the Mk3 and I said I thought all my Hondas had some form of indicator. Someone else thinks the Mk1 Jazz didn't have anything but I thought my CVT-7 sport had a green 'Econ' light on the dash.
Can anyone here confirm/discredit that?

It is not in my Owners handbook (08) for any version of the Mk 1 Jazz. Found an online version here
https://www.manualslib.com/manual/811004/Honda-Jazz.html?page=89#manual
and it is not on any dashboard configuration shown (pages 86 - 90)

Further research shows that the 7 speed CVT has a shift indicator for use in manual shifting. This is shown in the above diagram immediately below the rev counter centre. It appears to be a 7-segment display. Whether or not this is green is not stated.

Looks like red.

My memory is playing tricks on me then. Oh well.

and of course the "snazzy green/blue indicator" is a vacuum gauge.
I think it was probably the most useful instrument I retro fitted back in the dark and distant past.
Does anyone else remember the 2inch Smith's gauges.

That brings back memories, I fitted three of them in their own triple bracket in an Escort 1300 back in the sixties, vacuum, voltage and oil pressure gauges. ;D
