Gear stick movement in neutral.
« on: October 13, 2017, 10:19:41 PM »
Hi people. Just asking is it normal to have a decent amount of gear stick movement in neutral on my 2012 jazz? Seems to be a lot of play when its not in gear?

Is there spring pressure keeping the lever in the 3rd/4th plane? Sounds like the spring may have failed. If that is okay, it could be the mounts holding the remote gear change mechanism, under the lever. I had problems in a car I once owned, and to get reverse, I had to move the lever to about the centre of the driver's seat!

The changing of the gears seems ok no problems. Its just seems a little loose in neutral. ? Hmm

As I said, could just be a weak or broken spring.
