Water on garage floor
« on: July 01, 2009, 01:48:27 PM »
I have started to notice that when I remove my car from my garage there is a small drop of water on the floor towards where the front of the car would have been.

What might this be?

Has it just started to happen in the recent hot weather? Have you been using the aircon much?

It will be your AC. We just bought ours and its on permanetly and leaves little water pools when we park. Spoke to the dealer and he said its fine

Yes we do use the AC a lot in this weather.

And thanks for the responses.

Just the condensate from the aircon, as warm air is cooled it can't hold as much water, the excess water condenses out / or even freezes to the cold side of the aircon. When you park the car it thaws out and dribbles onto the floor.  Aircon actually dries out the air as well as cooling it - which is why you can use it to demist the windows.
