58 plate jazz out side air temperature sensor not working.
« on: February 13, 2016, 03:56:33 PM »
Does anyone have any good information and possibly pictures on how to remove or even get to the sensor. I've checked fuses and fuses seems fine for the sensor. I've got three dashes. I've tried to preset the temp but doesn't allow you you to do so.

Any ideas.

Many thanks

Ryan

Thanks for that. Well at least I know what it looks like but how do I get to it though?

Thanks

Thanks for that.

How do you get to the screws for the fog lights. Today I had the under tray peeled back as both of the fog lights were unplugged. I have just recently bought this car and just working through a couple do the faults.

So I need to remove the bumper then it will become apparent where it is then?

Many thanks

Rather than cut & paste whole pages, best to look at this section http://www.hondafitjazz.com/AC_Heater_Ventilation.html of the GD Service Manual (English)

Sounds like the front has been off this car for some reason.

Well this is how you remove the sensor which isn't helpful what so ever.

I think the bumper has come off too as there are some fasteners missing from it.

I'm slowly getting around to do this sensor and found that I don't have to remove the bumper as it sits in the top section of the lower grille so I can just remove the under tray and access it from there. I'm going to buy a new sensor as there not too expensive but I do have a question.

What is this pipping shown in the picture inserted?

It's item six.

Do you think it's just sheathing for the wiring?

There's a climate control Jazz with its bumper off that I'll be able to look at next week, should be able to see or remove the outside temp sensor if that helps.

Hello there. My one does have climate and if you could that would be brilliant.

Picked the sensor off the blue car as the silver one is still being decontaminated and was not in the yard until next week.
There was a steel crash bar behind the front valence held on by 4 bolts with the sensor (item 2, 3, 8) hiding behind and clipped to it; there was only wiring in conduit, no air pipes, leading towards the offside headlight area. Could not see hose aspirator (item 6) or sunbeam sensor (item 1).
I cut the wiring where it joins a larger bunch and unclipped it, it's in the back of the car right now and is light & small enough to post. Might go back on Wednesday to see silver car if I finish early enough.
