Updating Sat Nav in my Jazz Navi 2017

I have done this before without any problems but this time when I try I get an error message telling me that I have insufficient space to carry out the update.  Presumably I need to free up some space but despite searching around I can't find any help on how you do it.  In desperation I emailed Honda and they offered to do it for me, no doubt wanting big bucks to do so.

Does anyone now how I can clear the space myself?

Perhaps I can help: You need at least a 16GB formatted usb stick for downloading the update at home. Put the stick in the USB port near the HDMI port at the dashboard  Uploading the content will take about 40 minutes.

Can anyone help me please.  I have just brought a honda fit hybrid 2012 . Is it possible to update the sat nav as its in Japanese and still in Japan. How do you do it and where can I get the disk from
