My son has just replaced the front brake pads on my Jazz, probably the last job he does on it before he sells his business at the end of the month.
He uses Mintex brake pads and two things are immediately obvious, the brake pressure required is slightly higher and the low speed sharpness that the Jazz is well known for has gone.
The removed pads were the originals and had done 49K miles, they were three quarters worn.
I will soon have to find a new independant,local, repair shop.

Sorry to hear that Vic, it's not easy to find someone you can trust.
On a happier note, the pads should improve as they bed in - particularly any softness in the pedal.
