Honda Jazz Mk4 2020 - / Re: Mk4 2021 Jazz Brake failure

I have no doubt the the new generation of cars made in china are going to be a new step change in the way people buy cars and how they are treated ? Look at how well received Kia cars are with 7 year warrantries - how sharp are their designs and build qualities . China can build anything to a spec and price level - if you want the least cost you can find it -and tech- well what device are you reading thus on — made in china or parts are..we do need cars made without the massive overheads costs of european manufacturing who will always sell you things you cant choose not to buy by how the cars are made

I've had a lot of emails from Brayley Honda offering promotions.  Usually they say 5 years free servicing.  Both of my  Honda's, bought new, had 5 years free servicing and 5 years warranty, linked to buying on finance, but  the offers I see never include 5 years warranty.

Honda Jazz Mk3 2015 - 2020 / Re: New Head Unit/Infotainment

Looks like a potentially useful update. Just to be clear:
1. An earlier post suggested this unit doesn’t have a DAB receiver, is that right? Does it have any broadcast radio functionality at all, or do you have to do everything through a web connection (or pre-recorded)?
2. Does it integrate with the car’s systems to display stuff like MPG (current drive, history of Trip A) and the parking sensors?
3. The stock unit is the means of adjusting the car’s clock, does this unit provide that? If not, how do you do that?
(These might not be important to you, but might be to someone else).

Ebay. A lot of breakers use it. You have to keep checking, but they do turn up.

No need to check. Save search and set it to advise you.  (I have 20 or so running at times: one for years for a very rare item)

Inspect before you buy, don't rely on photos.
Best to find part in same paint avoid repainting.
Contact local vehicle dismantles.
If your car in drivable fine keep using it. Rear end shunts if required more parts adjustment than just the tailgate there are too many body curves in this parts to pull out.Goid luck finding a part.

The only time I hear it is reversing into a garage where the noise is amplified

Certainly not that loud on mine

Quick update: Joying unit installed and as UKjim mentioned the whole installation was plug and play right down to the steering wheel controls. In total took me about 90 mins to install and maybe another 1 hour to play around and understand the settings, only to conclude the best option is just to use Android Auto or Carplay  :)

Also, the seller included the extra factory usb port connector and I'm pleased to say that for me at least, both ports work to charge our phones and connect to Android Auto or Carplay.

Toyota and lexus hybrids have a louder sound when moving slowly in EV mode compared to my jazz.its a legislative requirement for cars in electric drive mode to emit sound below a certain threshold speed

You can hear it more easily if you open the driver's window and drive in a parking hall where the noise can echo from the walls. The noise turns off when the petrol engine starts. At 13 mph I also feel like the EV noise is louder than petrol engine noise at the same speed.

Also in some cars the EV noise is louder when reversing, so that pedestrians behind the car can hear it more easily, since the noise comes from the front of the car.
