My nighthawk black jazz GD1 SE
« on: September 10, 2012, 09:49:03 PM »
hi everyone, just want to share my ride to you fellow jazz lovers.....ive got the car 2 months now from a garage in wolverhampton,i was looking for economical car to own since ive sold my civic ek4,so i decided to buy a honda jazz.i was really impressed with it cause everytime i go back home in my native homeland called Philippines,,i always see a lot of modified jazz, so it made me think of owning one of these little gem..plus the fact that some peoples mind here thinks that honda jazz is just for oap which i totally opposed...
so i bought one,79k on the clock,1 lady owner from new, i think shes around 55 aswell lol..for really good bargain,so i travelled 160 miles just to pick up the car that i havent seen yet in person, the moment i saw it,grabbed it and drove home straight away, ive done some slight modification to it and theres more to come lol.....so here she is...

ive used my spare ek4 fanblade alloy wheels for the mean time coz the i dont like the stock steelies.. ;D

modifications:

rear wiper conversion mod
short bee sting antenna
rear brake drum painted in flame red
rear jazz emblem debadge
15inch rota slipstream
2x toyo proxes 195/50/15 rear tyres
2x bridgestone grid II 195/50/15 front tyres
honda access oem rear boot spoiler
FK automotive lowering springs
mugen style wind deflectors

so first thing ive done was to do some rear wiper conversion,no parts required, just a bit of enthusiasm ;D

then i was searching alloy wheels in ebay when i found these really good bargain....£200 quid!!picked it up in bristol..

then i need 2 new tyres so went ebay again and bought these..

and these

got the things that i need, then wondered if i can get a spoiler for the rear, but they are not cheap, for a fibreglass one,it will cost £75quid not even painted, with a bit of patience i manage to get another bargain,£36 quid brand new!!!! :P

so ive waited for the lovely british weather to calm down and installed the parts the ive got and here it is...

lowering springs comes to mind to minimize the arch gap and probably some bmc cda cold air induction kit when a bit dosh is available 8)

Looking good mate. 8)
I'm glad you got your photos sorted out alright.

You've got a few good bargains there!
The Honda spoiler is an especially good find. A new one would probably cost 4 times as much.

My FK Automotive lowering springs will be up for sale in a few weeks if you are interested. Just waiting for my coilovers to arrive.

Nice  8)

Keep up with the good work.

If you go back to Philippines (or have relatives out there), maybe you could get some parts shipped into the country cheaply  :P

thanks garyman!!! thats the plan when i go there for holiday next year, grab all the bits that i need and post it before i return back, the only problem is they charge huge amount of money to send ,plus import tax when it gets here,so by the time you got them, its probably same price ....but definitely worth a try mate!

finally got the time to upload some pics of few updates.....

got some bargain lowering springs from one of the member on this forum. ;D

and tried these mugen style wind deflectors that ive got from ebay, seller is from HK..here's the link http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221095919897?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 ..
only took almost 7 days delivery which is not bad ;D

and finally fitted the springs and deflector.....

the wind deflectors are really good, different from the heko style, comes with a 3m double sided adhesive and looks really cool.. 8) blends in brilliantly...

Thanks mate, nothing has been touched inside yet:) still enjoying it as it is....paint is not to bad nor perfect .....it has some chip and carpark dings which is expected on a 10 year old car but still looks mint.
