Two interesting reports in the news this week.
The first features a report by NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) saying that the warming and rapidly Arctic is the new "normal".
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-42330771The second was a report that scientists have produced a map of how Greenland would look without its ice covering, allowing them to calculate how much water would be produced if Greenland's ice melted, and what it would do to sea levels around the world.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-42260580If all Greenland's ice was to melt it would raise global sea levels by 24.34 ft (very precise!).
That would give me a beach front property!
Then there is the Piri Reis map of Antarctica. Perhaps, once again Antarctica too will become ice free. Who knows?
