Two questions
« on: October 26, 2017, 11:07:36 AM »
I just bought a 2002 Jazz, and I have a couple of questions.

1. I realise I don't know what exact model variant it is. Is there a way of finding out?

2. The owner's manual didn't come with it - is it possible / worthwhile to get one? I had a look at the Haynes manual, but 98% of that is too technical for me.

Many thanks.
Brian

Welcome Brian. Vin number says GD# (mine is a GD5). V5 document should tell you the model variant (S, SE, etc).
Haynes manual is a bit of a waste of paper. Owners manual can be downloaded here

Thanks, Jocko. As per sod's law, within an hour of posting my questions, the new reg document came through the door - it's an SE.

I'll get the GD# when it stops raining ... :D

I downloaded the owner's manual - 413 pages!

VIN number should be on the V5.

For the benefit of others reading this here's how to identify each model variant:

S - plastic wheel covers, black door handles and mirrors
SE (pre-facelift) - plastic wheel covers, body-coloured door handles and mirrors.
SE (post-facelift) - nine spoke alloy wheels
SE Sport (pre-facelift) - six spoke alloy wheels
Sport (post-facelift) - bodykit and five split spoke-style alloy wheels
