Well now, that's an interesting set of reactions. Firstly, for the record, I did not say I was offended so no apology is necessary (but VMT anyway Jocko). This is a discussion forum so I was contributing by pointing out that there are reasons why it might not be a safe topic.
As it happens, whilst I might not be personally offended, I do feel that the topic is potentially harmful. Judging people on their physical appearance has consequences. For the celebrities featuring in the pictures, the outcome can be devastating: remember Caroline Flack, where the inquest concluded that media pressure contributed to her death. There have also been plenty of studies linking suicide amongst young people to them having a perception of a skewed self-image which can arise from pictures of celebrities posted in the media (pictures which may have been edited). Maybe teens are unlikely to be reading this forum, but my contribution to this discussion is to suggest that maybe it's better not to risk it.
