Interior light bulbs
« on: December 05, 2023, 02:18:00 PM »
Some of the interior lights in my 2010 Jazz are not working anymore. After some search I found out that most of them should be T5.

  • Temperature control knob
  • Driver side window switch (2)
  • Passenger side window switch
  • Hazard light switch (not in image)
  • Headlight adjuster (possibly no light?)

Can anyone confirm this or help me out with the exact bulbs for each part. Thanks.

I have never ever needed  to change even one  bulb for such switches in any car I have owned .   With so many not working have you checked its not a common cause that affects them all  ?  Maybe  a blown fuse  or a wiring loom connector block loose .

Try removing one of the bulbs  and checking it visually ,or with a multimeter, to see if it really has blown. Or try fitting the bulb from another switch that is known to be working  to see if it now works.

I would highly recommend replacing all the bulbs with brighter LED versions. I did this in our car as the standard ones are quite dim. Made a huge difference.

Update for anyone wondering or facing the same issue. Checked all the fuses and they were ok. Replaced the bulbs (T5 12v 1.2W) which fixed the problem.

How to remove:
- Radio: https://youtu.be/SveJI1B37bY?si=_1RUyk5tJw0YcA1q&t
- Radio, fascia and bulbs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ceY6zFkdVnU&t
- Hazard light bulb: https://www.civinfo.com/threads/how-to-replace-hazard-light-switch-bulb.427878/

Last one was a bit tricky, but you need to push both plastic hooks to get the outer cover off, then you can acces the bulb.

My next step is to figure out if one can swap the bulbs in the window switch unit.
