Ignition barrel
« on: June 23, 2021, 09:05:53 PM »
Hi! I have recently encountered a problem with my 2002 manual Jazz where my key would not turn in the ignition! With the help of my friend I have purchased a replacement ignition barrel from ebay (with key) and managed to replace the barrel along with transferring the circuit board from the original! 😬 Horror! It won’t start it turns over all fine but! Is it something to do with the immobiliser? any suggestions please!

You will need to get the new key immobiliser coded to the car, as a temporary measure you could try holding the old key near the immobiliser sensor ring and then the vehicle should start.
