Free Fuel Flush Treatment
« on: March 16, 2015, 04:37:04 PM »
My Honda main dealer has offered a free fuel flush treatment worth £14.40 if I book a service with them.

Is this worth having and what is actually involved?

I believe they add a bottle of fuel system cleaner in the tank, similar to Redex. I bought 6 bottles for under £5, I can not find the same offer now but one bottle costs £1.99 on Ebay. I have added a bottle after filling the tank and have used 2 bottles so far since I bought it in September.

I have not really noticed any difference but at least I didn't pay the dealer something like £15 when they wanted to add it to the last Service bill.

E mail a couple of dealers nearby then compare their quotes for the service, you can always buy the parts & oil yourself. Good luck

Thanks for the responses - I wondered if it was just something they put in the tank like Redex.
