One Touch Window Switch Not Working????
« on: July 14, 2009, 06:39:18 AM »
I recently had to disconnect the battery (to change the gearbox) and now the window switch does not work in one touch feature.

The switch has 2 positions, press it a little and the window will move for as long as I hold the switch. Before if I pressed it all the way the window would go all the way down even if I let go. This function now does not work.

Any ideas?

My first thought is to try disconnecting the battery to reset everything and see what happens.

You need to reset the window whenever you disconnect the battery.

Its in the handbook but off the top my head its something like as follows:

First turn the ignition on and then press the button to send the window down. When the window is down release the button. Then press the down button again for a second or so. Then press the up button and close the window. When the window is closed release the button. Then press the up button for a second or so and then release.

Now this should of set the window. Check it by pressing the relevant buttons.
