Air vent advice required
« on: May 21, 2009, 10:08:25 PM »
The Jazz is my daughters not mine but she has managed to disengage the verticle fins in the vent above the radio head unit by sticking one of those vent mounted air fresheners on the slats.
I had a brief look last night when I got home last night but darkness descended before I made much progress. Does anyone know how to remove the vent so I can re-assemble it.
I did look at the link http://www.hondafitjazz.com/audio.htm but not sure that will give enough access from what I can see in the photo.

Thanks in advance for any help advice offered.

To remove the vents proceed as follows:

Taking care not to mark the surrounding trim, use a flat-bladed screwdriver to prise out the vent at its outer pivot, then unhook the inner pivot and remove it. Take care that the pivot bushes do not come off and fall down into the vent duct.

Hope that helps.
