About to upgrade from Mk1 to Mk2
« on: June 06, 2015, 02:38:08 PM »
Having had my 10 year old, 120,000mile Mk 1 CVT from new I am just about to replace it with a nearly new 1.4 ES Plus CVT. I have read the spec to see what changes I can expect and am interested in the hill start assist (as my wife has a fear of hill starts) but I can't find any information about how these systems work. Also I am interested in opinions about the deal I have been offered by Motorpoint. They're offering a Dec 31st 2014 registered ex-hire 1.4SE Plus CVT in Urban Titanium with 3,000 miles for £10,600 - £1100 trade + £99 delivery charge. (If it was a manual I would be more concerned about ex-rental).

There was a nationwide deal on the Jazz but it seems to have expired. Just for info, my local Honda dealer has a 2015 1.4 ES Plus with 500 miles and they want over £15 k for it so your deal looks OK to me.

I would have thought your mk 1 jazz would fetch more?-but I suppose if you don't want the hassle of a private sale it seems reasonable.
Good luck

Put your car on Ebay, small autos are like hens teeth, my pupils are always looking for them and struggling to find affordable ones.

AS with any car purchase, ask the firm to verify the Jazz is a UK car if so then read the HPI report carefully- no finance etc.
And yes sell your own privately plus there are several buy it today companies.
I would negotiate hard if the Jazz is the model you want, as for the hill starts you'll never notice them the CVT is great and economical.
Happy hunting
