Screen Washer Reservoir Dipstick
« on: June 08, 2015, 06:58:49 PM »
This was commented on in another topic about pointless things on the Jazz.
The screen washer reservoir dipstick was mentioned and of course who the heck needs one. You don't need to know how much is in there, you just fill the reservoir up.
I have found a better use for the reservoir dipstick. Take it off the reservoir filler cap, it's more easily removed if you use a pair of pliers and use it to check the engine coolant reservoir which is not easily seen.
Use it the same way up as when it was in the screen washer bottle. The top hole on the dipstick is about half way between low and high in the coolant bottle and since the coolant is coloured it can be easily seen.
Yes you could do the same thing while the dipstick is still attached to the screen washer cap but you don't want coolant in the screen washer or washer fluid in the coolant.
