Bought my jazz October and it’s done 45,000 unsure as to when cvt gearbox fluids were changed cvt, when I took in for recall on airbag they checked said 2016. How often should this be changed?

Every two years or 25,000 miles, whichever comes first.

While I agree with Jocko, if you are a low mileage user and perhaps have only done 15,000 miles after two years I see no harm in going to 3 years before changing the oil.

I say this as my MK3 ex will have done 4 years and 25,000 miles this October (without an oil change) and Honda tell me it is more about the use the oil is put through than its age.

Given the price difference between an oil change and a new transmission i'd err on the side of caution.

Follow this absolutely. This type of product degrades with time as well as use.

That's why Honda changed their servicing protocol.

Yes - I'd go with the cautionary principle. I think it's £85 every 2 years so not a huge cost in the great scheme of things.

Our 1.4 EV Jazz we have had it for just under 2 years.

I got my local garage to change the CVT oil.
It's a 61 plate. When we got it it had 19k.now it has 31k.

I couldn't get confirmation that the oil had ever been changed.
The sales staff said we give it a pre-sale service.!!
Looking at the air filter. It was very dirty.and not good .

But. Since the trans oil change. It is so smooth. Feels very. Very good.
And it was good before
