Rear wheel bearing for a 2008 1.4
« on: April 11, 2019, 08:41:00 PM »
As above, disc brake fitting.
Seen ECP and others selling the better makes coming in around £70-110 but there are cheaper ones on Ebay for a lot less. Has anyone fitted any of these?
One I've see is this one and wondered if it would work....

It looks an easyish job to change them so even if they only last a couple of years that's ok with me.

If the linked one wont fit my car then if any others can be recommended and linked to that would be great cheers.

I fitted a cheap one about 15000 miles ago, no problems so far. Anecdotal evidence on here seems to tell you the cheap bearings are no worse than the genuine Honda part, which is notorious for wearing out prematurely.

If yours is a mark 1 2008 with rear brake discs, that's the wrong hub - the link is for one for rear drums. You need one for discs, the hub has only two large holes and two screw holes for the discs. Like this one.

Oh right cheers, I even emailed them asking them if it would fit and even with giving my vehicle details they said it would  ::)
So I need one as you describe then with the two large hole and two screw holes cheers for that. I'll see if I can find one that has 2 year warranty first.
Thanks.

Oh and what Nm for the wheel nuts?
