Pattern Exhaust Parts
« on: December 19, 2018, 06:02:32 PM »
Hi there,

I've just signed up as i have a question about exhausts.
My wife has a 53 plate manual 1.4 Jazz and the exhaust needs replacing.
It has a leak at the rear of the catalytic converter. It had a short term bodge with some black goopy stuff but it's really leaking now.
Genuine parts are too expensive so i was hoping someone here could give me some advice on what makes of exhaust might fit well for not too much money (i know that cats are not cheap obviously ).
Thanks

A couple of makes come to mind - Timax, Walker & Bosal.

I would take it to a couple of fast fit places and see what they charge.

+1 for those options.
I'd price up the parts don't forget gaskets , sealant and hangers . Swafega and grief from the Mrs for making a mess .
Then ask your local walk-in center , I use a tame Halfords in Exeter .
I'd be surprised if the difference is more than £20-30
