mk1- mk2 parts
« on: December 01, 2018, 07:06:35 PM »
hi,

have a 2004 1.3(1.4) dsi.

i need to replace

rear wheel bearings
front suspension strut mounts

on ebay it is so confusing.

most of the parts say 2002-2008 jazz but when I check if it fits my jazz it shows it wont.
( i stated my jazz is 2004 GD_ [2003-2008] Saloon Saloon 1.3 1339ccm 86HP 63KW (Petrol))

so how is it?

thanks in advance

Hi, I think there are different wheel bearing depending on whether you have abs brakes or not and whether you have discs or drums on the rear brakes. The best thing to do is to message the EBay seller with your registration number or VIN and most parts companies can tell you which part you need.

I don't know what the difference in the front struts are.

The ebay "will this fit my car" thingy is best regarded as a rough guide only, it's often wrong and I wouldn't recommend relying on it.

As Mick says, there a 3 different rear hubs depending whether you have drum or disc brakes and ABS.

The front suspension was subtly revised in 2004, but I believe the top mounts are all the same.

Ignore the vehicle compatibility stuff on eBay. It takes sellers a long time to fill all that stuff in and if they're selling a lot of stuff they probably won't do it comprehensively.
