transmission fluid
« on: September 18, 2018, 05:31:16 PM »
Asked Formula 1 the cost of changing transmission fluid in my Honda Jazz Auto 2004 and they replied they
could not do it as they do not have anyone sufficiently qualified.

Honda Ewell charge £75.   Can anyone tell me how often this should be changed ?

Here's a recent relevant discussion about CVT fluid https://clubjazz.org/forum/index.php?topic=10441.0.

I believe that Honda used to specify 4 years / 50k miles but after development of the CVT judder problem the recommended interval was reduced (in around 2013) to 2 years / 25k miles. If in any doubt do a CVT fluid change.

Thanks John, Hondas figure of £75 to replace transmission oil was not completely correct,
Honda service  now quote £180--for both flushing and replacing oil.

Halfords have given me a quote of £99 for the same thing including the proper Jazz oil.
