I used Supermarket petrol for 40 yrs until two years ago when prices were low and I had a long journey to make, I decided to try V-Power. Wow! It made a difference on my i-shift! 2nd gear seems to be more powerful. I get about extra 2-3 miles per tank more. They also give you voucher every quarter so it offsets the costs. As I m a driving instructor, sometimes due to location, I have to use supermarket fuel. The thing is my pupils notice the difference!

I got to say, V-POWER on Seat Ibiza doesn't seem to be a high difference compared to the Jazz.

I get an extra 2 - 3 mpg, but that is really just "noise". I get the odd tank of supermarket fuel that is plus or minus 2 - 3 mpg. I felt the car performed better on it last year but this time round it felt, if anything, worse. The price difference knocks it on the head for me. £1.459p/litre as against £1.257p/litre. Today I bought 30 litres. That is more than £6 difference per tank. No thank you.

Yes - the price differential is staggering. I think you need to be absolutely sure your car needs it.

I was at my local Asda today, grocery shopping, and far from installing new pumps their filling station has gone. Completely! They are obviously building an entirely new set up. No wonder it will take 13 weeks. Hope it doesn't include a shop. That slows down service considerably.

In west lancs local filing stations - shell vpower 1.35pl Costco ul 118pl, however my Subaru Turbo runs much better on Shell ul, the Jazz has an occasional sip of v power quieter 7 smoother - more power who knows.
