Hr-v no horn: where is the fuse?
« on: May 28, 2017, 10:51:56 PM »
Hi,
Today the horn of my 1998 Hr-v is silent.
I had a look at the owner manual: not such a fuse in the fuse box near your left knee (lhd driver ) nor in the box in the engine bay.

Unsure if the fuse is the cause but I d like to have a look.

Do you know where the horn fuse is?
Of corse if you have any other suggestion thank you!
 :)

I discovered my Jazz horn had stopped working just before the first MOT test when the car was 3 years old.  You can test for 12V on the relay socket contacts in the engine bay fusebox if you have an assistant to press the horn.  If it is similar to most Hondas you can unclip the wheel liner to find the horn and test the terminals there but it probably needs replacing.

The horn relay socket is also the easiest place to check other relays by swapping them over.
