Heated Front Seats.......

I'm looking for someone to fit carbon fibre heater inserts, to my front seats. But several local, auto electricians seem a bit reluctant.

Has anyone on here, had the conversion done, to a Mk2? 

CAN it be done? Is the seat upholstery suitable?
