Title: Parts codes
Post by: guest3517 on August 16, 2018, 01:54:09 PM
I have recently purchased a 2013 1.4I-VTEC EX CVT auto Jazz with a dual accelerator pedal system that was fitted for a previous disabled owner and unfortunately to install it the original throttle pedal was cut down to a short stub!
I wish to have the redundant pedal system removed by a specialist but I am told that will involve purchasing a new accelerator arm/sensor assembly for which Honda quote £384.00.
There are many such used arm assemblies available from salvage specialists and ebay from around £50.00, but it appears none of the part numbers match mine and on checking the sellers just say "it is the correct one and will fit"
Is there any way I can check if the offered used parts are correct before buying, because it seems part numbers even differ between the manual, i-drive and CVT gearboxes.
The part numbers on the arm fitted at present are TFO-JO (which seems to be universal), 13152C and 06375198154.
Thanks,

Thanks Jacko for your immediate replies!
The part as fitted is the discontinued item at the top of the parts page of your first reply, and the current part number I have been given by Honda is 17800 TFO-JO4 (not JO3).
In reply to your second posting I think the part I require has to be specifically for the Mark 2 2013 CVT automatic model and I've found a couple of listing on Ebay that fit the bill, but the part numbers visible on both listings photos don't match the numbers on my pedal.
eBay item number:122769813293 - seems correct but says it comes from a 2016 car (mark 3?)
eBay item number:332285410422 - seems correct in most details but for the year (2011) and photo part numbers

The one in the first link seemed to be common to a load of Honda's. Unfortunately the listing only goes up to 2012 models, but the Mk2 was 2007 to 2014. Doubt they would change the throttle pedal but who knows. At £14.95 it seemed worth a try.
