Mum's Car
« on: March 08, 2021, 08:39:19 AM »
Hi

Anyone interested in buying my mum's car before we advertise. It is a Sunset Orange 1.3 SE CVT 09/2015 with a tiny 11.500 miles. She's had it from new and has Honda Service up to 8k.

Most seem to be asking around 8k ish from garages, we are open to offers, what do you think??

Vertu Boston have an orange 2016 SE CVT with 6000 miles at £8900, so you're in the right territory. If my experience with Vertu Lincoln is anything to go on, they price keenly and won't budge.

Sounds like a great car for someone.

Yeah, I looked on ATrader earlier and the cheapest countrywide was £8600. With a well written add and nicely photo'd, you should have no problem achieving your asking price.

Motors.co.uk - you can advertise your car nationwide for free!  :D

Personaly I am a fan of the orange. Suits the car well IMHO.

Will be advertising the car for £7800 if anyone is interested, as we need a quick sale due to mother-in-law's death. She had the car from new and was 83 when she bought it, immaculate inside as she was the only person to drive it, never even been anyone in the back!!

The only issue with a car like this is it probably just needs to be taken out for a bit of a blast, just to clear out it's lungs and give it the old 'Italian tune up'. Maybe take it over the M62 from Jn 25 over to Jn 22 and then back on the ordinary roads via Holmfirth. Otherwise it sounds like a lovely bargain for someone.

Sorry for you loss, by the way.

Indeed, very sorry for your loss.

My car was owned by an "older" lady, it was 2yrs old and had done 1500mls. I treated it as though it was almost new and gave it a belated break-in. I doubt it had ever been revved beyond 3000rpm (if that), and with some progressively harder use it has definitely improved. I used the manual/S mode to hold it in lower ratios.
