Advice?
« on: May 28, 2019, 08:22:47 PM »
I bought my jazz in October. Saw on last service auto transmission oil not been changed. Just last few times this week on start up from cold the engine seems to rev a bit more as if it’s not changing gear to suit speed. When it’s been running a while it all seems normal. Do you think it’s anything to concern? Or could it be the auto gearbox oil needing change. Not had an auto before but just feels a bit odd on starting. Any advice thanks Dee

Take another look at the service history & any invoices, the CVT should be changed every 2 yrs or 25 k miles.
Talk to your local independent / Honda specialist garage.
Check the colour of the fluid should be light reddy colour, if dark brown & smells burnt time to change,
You can £ the correct CVT fluid from E bay from a Honda dealer Cox motors.

If you look down between the radiator cap and the nearside headlight, you should see a yellow loop - that's the dipstick for the gearbox oil level. If you pull that (with the engine OFF), there will be oil from the gearbox on the stick, just like your engine oil dipstick.
