What mileage should iridium spark plus be changed?
120000km or equivalent in miles

You could  check engine mounts for any sign that hard rubber has  deteriorated allowing too much engine/gearbox  movement .  Hard acceleration  increases how much the engine /gearbox tries to twist on its mounts due to torque.      Rubber bushes etc can deteriorate due to the age of the car ,not just kilometers driven.

This is only a suggestion. I am not a mechanic and have no prior experience of  Jazz mechanical problems.

Nomis, will you mention this to the Honda dealer?

I think we would all be interested to hear their response.

I did mention it to my local Honda dealer who had a used Jazz in stock that I would have considered. He played the issue down and suggested extended warranty if I was concerned.

He was throwing in 12 months Honda warranty on a 4 year old car. Honda sell up to 3 years extended warranty on cars up to 8 years old, so if I purchased a 3 year warranty on the 5th and 8th anniversary then I'd be covered until the car was 11 years old. That would cost me £985 a pop at current prices, so around £330 a year which isn't bad.

Then the forum went down so I decided to wait and the car had sold by the time it was back up again.

Go to Opie oils type in your Jazz  Reg you'll get back suitable spec oil
If you want Honda OE oil then cixmotorparts co UK again find your model Jazz in Oils you'll see genuine Honda Oil options. Always change your oil filter every Year or 7k miles use only the Honda petrol oil filter the Blue one.

Please can someone direct me to the part of the forum dealing with Jazz engine oil grades?
I think I need Syntium 7000  0w-20 but the only one I can find has the word "hybrid" which the Jazz is not. Any explanation appreciated. Or other manufacturer's 0w-20 oil. It's a 2018 1.3 cvt.

Hey guys,

I've been experiencing a rather concerning issue with my 2007 1.4 manual Jazz and I'm hoping to get some insight from the community here. Whenever I accelerate hard, particularly in 1st, 2nd, and occasionally 3rd gear, I notice a knocking noise occurring between 2000 and 3000 rpm. Noise doesn't occur when driving in reverse. My mechanic suspects it might be related to the gearbox.

I'm aware of the infamous input shaft bearing noise that's common in lower gears. I've had that noise since I bought the car. But this knocking noise during hard acceleration has me a bit worried, especially considering the mileage on my car, which now stands at 170k kilometers (105k miles).

Has anyone else encountered a similar issue? If so, what was the root cause and how did you address it? Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

When my next service is due, it's third, in August, I'm considering going back to Crown Honda for it if it entails a brake fluid change

My nearest dealer is Reading but I've read some worrying reviews about this dealer on various forums with them being less than helpful when problems arise ..... unless you're paying

Just glad I've been a Which? Legal member for years. Used them a couple of times and they are good with consumer problems

Now that my Jazz had been repaired I intend to exchange it for a Kia Niro which has a 7 year warranty. I don’t feel I can trust the reliability of Hondas after my recent experience.

As a result of all this I've changed my 2020 Crosstar for a nearly new Advance Sport a year before scheduled, was pleasantly surprised at the generous p/ex I received.
