Title: Tyre pressure valve
Post by: Twd99 on March 16, 2019, 06:32:30 PM
Does anyone knows if the TPMS tyre pressure sensors are in the valve?

As I am replacing the tyres, I just wants to know this before the tyre fitter remove and replace with a normal one.

As far as I am aware there are no TPMS sensors on the Jazz. The tyres are monitored as a function of the ABS, but I am sure one of the Mk 3 owners will put you (and probably me) right.

There aren't any. As Jocko says, the Jazz uses the ABS system to compare wheel rotation speeds. Don't forget to reset your system once the new tyres have been fitted.

Many thanks to all the quick reply.

I managed to find some original tyres... Dunlop 2030 185 55 16.

IIRC the Jazz had sensors fitted for 1 year ( 2015 ) but models either side of that use ABS.

It looks like those ones were part of the valve. I assume you do not replace the valve, only the valve core.
