Chain or belt?

Hi people. Just a quickie here. My Honda Jazz 2012 1.2 is a chain or belt driven? Also its only done 12000 miles in 5 years would it need changing due to age? I would not of thought so but Id thought Id ask.

It's a chain drive, so it won't need any maintenance apart from regular oil and filter changes using a good quality oil and filter.

Yes, definitely a chain. Be aware (garages often aren't), that the 1.2 i-DSi has EIGHT spark plugs. Four along the front and four along the back.

the mk 2 jazz 1.3 is an i vetec engine with 4 long life spark plugs.

[/quote]He says his car is a 1.2 not a 1.3, hence my comment about plugs. Didn't appreciate that later models were VTEC whether 1.2 or 1.3.
