Steering wheel shenanigans
« on: May 07, 2024, 10:23:11 AM »
Hi all. I have a 2007 SE Manual with the plastic-y steering wheel - I'd like to switch to the nicer leather steering wheel but I only ever find them with the 7 speed button and paddles of an automatic. Is it possible to take apart the steering wheels and put the silver plastic piece, buttons, etc from my old wheel into the frame of the new leather one, or is it not removable?

Thanks!

Could be,  I'd go for leather lace on cover.

Yes, the steering wheel switches etc.  can all be swapped over as long as it is the same design wheel.

This is the exploded view.

Despise steering wheel covers. They look hideous and are actually unsafe, they can let the wheel slip in your hands.
