This is exactly the problem that I have! Pull up and park, turn ignition off, start to get out and then realise the mirrors are still sticking out and have to turn on ignition again to retract them,
I put it down to getting older, much like getting to the top of the stairs and then wondering why you wanted to be there!
I am presuming that the automatic folding mirrors would need to be changed for a different type from another model and therefore would require new wiring. Perhaps someone has done this and can advise details?
