It is difficult when one relies so much on mail order. We live in the country and the nearest decent shopping is Plymouth. Although on rare occasions we have found it locally. A few years back we had problems with Parcelforce. Like Jocko it was alleged that we were not in when we were etc. One day, whilst in the Kitchen, which overlooks the road, I saw the big red van pull up, then drive off. So I took Parcel force to task because by this time we had enough No cards were ever left. Unfortunately because we were not the customer, the supplier was, they would not deal with us. However it came to a head when the above was repeated but this time a card stated we were not in. Eventually some days later we located the parcel at our local post office. This did provoke Parcelforce into action as we had the local postmistress to back us up. These days no problems. I do not deal with Amazon much over their delivery costs and constantly pushing Prime. So far fingers crossed good old E bay is much better, carriage costs and delivery wise PLUS if it didn't arrive you get a refund or replacement. I have heard of cases with Amazon whereby they limited the number of claims of non delivery. As an aside the Parcel force driver used to try and con the local postie into delivering for them but the posties got wise and refused.
