Hello, from Derbyshire.......
« on: June 17, 2015, 09:13:26 AM »
Hello everyone.

An old man, with a new Jazz, here.  :)

I've recently swapped, from an 18month old Yaris 1.33 VVT-i TR 5dr Multidrive-S. To a 1.4 i-VTEC ES Plus CVT.
There's not a lot of difference, between the two manufacturer's models......  ::)

A Google enquiry, about the "enthusiastic" radiator fan, brought me here.

I'm looking forward to sharing Jazz experiences and info.

David.

Hello and welcome  8)

Re "enthusiastic" fan - if you're referring to how often it is coming on and off- its just a given with the Jazz due to the size of the car- i did notice when i first got the car but use to it now.

Don't confuse the engine cooling fan with the Aircon condenser cooling fan which cycles on/off roughly every 10 seconds when the Aircon is on.

Hi Chaps!
Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm going to enjoy it here......  ;)

Re, the perceived fan "problem".
I was unwell, (sciatica), at the moment of delivery. So. I garaged it, for a couple of days.

At first start up, the fan chimed in! After standing, for two days??!!  :o

Thinking, there was a teething problem. I had visions of taking it to my local Honda dealer, for repair. After, I had had a test drive. Then, saved £2,000, on an internet deal.......

I guess, the air con was still switched on.......  ::)
